This is the type of instrument that David Mason played for the piccolo trumpet solo on The Beatles’s Penny Lane. The letter N on the second valve (below the dented tubing) evidently identifies the person responsible for assembling the valve block see the explanation at The Trumpet Herald. And select Couesnon from the drop-down menu. For more information about this brand browse to Horn-U-Copia. Otherwise the instrument is in great condition the compression is excellent, the valves work smoothly, and the trumpet plays wonderfully. There is a small dent in the second valve tubing. Before then it had been repaired where the lead pipe curves down toward the third valve. This instrument has given me excellent service since I acquired it used thirty years ago.
